My name is Nicole Foltz.  We started this business to help the people in and around the Detroit lakes area to give a more luxurious/home like feel with their pet boarding needs and training. This is a family business so my husband and 4 kids are involved with our schedules and the dogs daily. We live just a few miles north of Detroit lakes on a 70 acre hobby farm. Our boarding facility is right here at our home. I am a certified Dog Trainer through off leash k9 training that has many years of experience working with and caring for all kinds of animals. I have worked with and trained dogs of all sizes and breeds. I decided to become a trainer when we rescued our dog McGee, he had a lot of behavior issues! In short when we went to see him we could not even touch or pet him he was scared and wanted to bark and growl when any person came near. My husband thought I was crazy for wanting this dog. We got him home and the issues only got worse, he was scared of everything, barked and growled at everyone and even went after my children when they were in his space or did things he did not like. Through training I was able to help him through these issues and help him build the confidence he needed so that he could relax and enjoy life as a dog and as part of our family. It was not easy and it took us a couple years but it was all worth it to see the best come out in him! He is the best dog with our children/friends and he currently helps me with all my boarding and training dogs that come here. I specialize in dog obedience and behavior issues through off leash k9 training and will do my best to spend the time needed with each dog to make every day here as comfortable as I can. After training for a year and a half and having many of my training families saying they would feel more comfortable having their trainer board there dogs I decided to open up the boarding and training facility. Dogs are part of our families, and I want to provide that family kind of care for your dog while you're away.  My goal is to provide a clean, safe, fun, engaging, and comfortable space for all dogs of all ages and sizes that feels like home.
